Nestled on a mountainside, the century old, seven gabled West Mountain Inn invites guests to discover its many treasures....

Distinctively decorated guest rooms, comfortable common areas, 150 woodland acres with wildflowers, a bird sanctuary, and llamas provide space to relax and rejuvenate the body and spirit. Miles of wilderness ski or hiking trails and the Battenkill River provide seasonal outdoor activities. A hearty breakfast, complete with apple pie, and a savory country dinner in front of an open hearth, complement your stay.

The Inn is located on 150 acres of wooded mountainside on the Battenkill River, just off Route 313 in the village of Arlington, in southwestern Vermont. We are about an hour's drive from the nearest airport, in Albany, New York, and about four hours driving time from both New York City and Boston.

The Inn also offers private dining and meeting rooms, providing that unique space for celebrations of weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, family reunions, or business meetings.

Prices from $169 to $305 MAP, double occupancy
The Inn offers our guests a choice of eighteen rooms and suites, in a wide variety of sizes and configurations, located in three buildings: the Inn, the Cottage in the Pines and the historic Millhouse. Each is unique, individually and distinctively decorated in a country style. All have private bath, and Gwendolyn's Room offers barrier-free access. Like the rest of the Inn, all rooms are smoke-free.

In our guest rooms our friends will find fresh fruit, a trail map welcoming them to hike our "back forty," and an innkeeper-written guide to southern Vermont which includes, several self guided day trips, bike loops, and hiking tours. Of course, West Mountain Inn tradition also requires that each visitor return home with an African violet.
